Hi, I’m
Lauren Bowen.

“Lauren has all the words,” says my dad. “If you can’t find them, she has them.”

I like how words taste—their flavor, their texture, their rough corners and smooth edges. And I like the way they move—like pinballs bouncing around in my mind until they hit their target.

Getting to make a career as a storyteller and a partner to teams of world-changers…I am so very lucky.

My background

For the past 12 years, I’ve been the translator between “here’s what we built” and “here’s why it matters.”

Because, at the end of the day, even the most brilliant innovation means nothing if people don't understand why they should care.

As a professional, my work lives at the intersection of technical accuracy and customer-centric storytelling. I work closely with subject matter experts to turn (often mind-boggling) raw material into content that drives results—while maintaining strong editorial standards and brand alignment.

I’ve worked with B2B tech giants, huge global nonprofits, and a long list of mission-driven organizations and small businesses. I've built brand messaging frameworks, led content strategy, created countless campaigns, and written everything from scroll-stopping social posts to record-breaking thought leadership pieces.

My role stays the same, no matter the client: bring calm, bring clarity. Ask the questions that unlock the story, then craft content that sticks with you.

The best work grows from good ground.

Brain power

I went to college to learn how to run a nonprofit. But somewhere in between microfinance and geopolitics, I discovered what I was best at: inspiring people to take action.

More than a decade later, that’s still what I do. I help organizations figure out what they’re really trying to say—and then proclaim it proudly.
